if they are a native, they already know. if they are not and happy enough to be in the moines area and hungry for some tacos do not see further. this place has always been great since my childhood and I am almost 40. ankeny is a newer location, but still the same product that everyone expects and loves. What User doesn't like about Tasty Tacos:
4 tacos and 4 acid creams ordered. I have the tacos, but 4 nacho cheeses. children touching theke his face and seems very uninterested in the work or cleaning because the dining room floor was evil.
Everything is great, but the flour tacos are special. Original, chicken or steak flour taco.... Can not try wrong with any purchase, an original once. Keep the great work, Tasty Tacos! My favorite place to stop when I'm in the Des Moines area!
Sorry, no pics. 'Cause I inhaled my Tasty Tacos!! Memories of childhood when only one store. I always, ALWAYS, get a Tasty Taco when in Des Moines area. Another taco joint I grew up with has become very corporate and not at all the same. Tasty has expanded yet not corporate. Love 'em!!!
Tasty Tacos is a local chain that is always consistent, no matter which location you visit. My wife and I always order flour tortilla beef tacos and jalapeño poppers. Biggest mistake we make is order one taco too many. I ordered 3 and wife ordered two. So good, but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Service is fast. This is our regular stop for fast Mexican food.
Delicious and fresh. Warm freshly baked flour tortillas served with beef, chicken or pork tacos. Fresh flour chips with guacamole too. All for a bargain price.
A nice location. Easy to find. I would love a drive thru here. I got the original puffy flour taco they are famous for. It was quite good. Ground beef, lettuce, shredded cheese on a puffy flour tortilla. The salsa was more sweet than spicy. It added good flavor to the taco.
