But'n'ben - Angus
Menu
A complete menu of But'n'ben from Angus featuring all 50 dishes and drinks can be found here on the list.
Nestled along the scenic cliff path of Arbroath, But’n’Ben offers a mixed dining experience steeped in local charm. Patrons rave about the fresh seafood and varied menu, featuring enticing dishes like Arbroath smokie pancakes and traditional Scottish fare. While many commend the friendly and attentive service, some experiences marred by passive-aggressive staff interactions and hefty drinks prices leave diners feeling less than welcome. Despite a cozy atmosphere and reasonable prices, the inconsistency in food quality and service might lead some to question a return visit. Overall, it stands as a quaint gem with room for improvement.

Was Stevie M at But'n'ben a mag?
We went for 6pm last week. We were welcomed with a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The lady that service was very friendly. She advised us of the special, which was scallops and mussels. It was lovely. The restaurant filled up quickly, with a great atmosphere. We will definitely be returning in December Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner View all feedback.
What Muhammad Saunders dislikes about But'n'ben:
Unfortunately, this was a bit a bit a bit a bit and we had another experience of many reviews. service was friendly, but it was lacking, a series of failed we did not satisfy. haddock and chips- tasty once they found the fish, wetar sauce very fussgänger. chips seemed frozen and sufficient. oysters were not released and there was no sose as listed. no beverage refills offered, and unfortunately a mediocre in the best... I had an incredible meal at But n Ben. The staff was very friendly and I highly recommend this restaurant. The venison and game pie were absolutely superb. If you are staying nearby, you must visit But n Ben.
Feeling at the end of the world, we had a great lunch. Although we had not reserved, we got a place at the fire. The traditional Scottish food was wonderful. Prices are perfectly reasonable. The service was friendly and helpful in questions about food.
