The service was unpleasant. No apology or explanation for the missing dishes... a shame. The atmosphere isn't what it used to be.

The waiter... read more A very pleasant surprise at Le 102, a restaurant next to the tapas bar Le River : we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had a wonderful time at dinner. The waiter was welcoming, attentive, and always smiling. The dishes are delicious and reasonably priced. Special mention goes to the lovely, idyllic terrace and the tables overlooking the Charente River. The desserts are simply excellent.

The beef tongue (rarely offered in restaurants) was very good, and the floating island dessert was excellent. The pastry chef even offered us a taste of the crème anglaise before we ordered; I don't usually like overly sweet desserts. Well done for this professionalism! I recommend this establishment.
