We'd visited La Concha previously and had enjoyed a good lunch there. We thought it was time we went back again so on 20th April, we made a return visit for lunch. The restaurant is well situated with a view of the sea and the possibility of a walk afterwards. However, I'm afraid we had a bad experience. i don't know if they've changed the chef to a Spanish one but everything we had was saturated in oil.. We had both ordered eperlans as a starter. They were sodden in oil and neither of us could finish ours. For main course, my wife ordered Dorade and when it came it was almost floating in oil. I'd ordered the gambas and it was the same with them. I struggled to finish them and thought I'd try the baked potato this was served with a huge knob of butter and it was impossible to eat. We skipped coffee and went home and we both felt ill for the rest of the day. I could taste the oil until I went to bed at night. Never again.

Tonight , our experience was horribly unbelievable. We ordered the seafood platter , salad and baked potatoes platter . We sat there while the waitress waited on and served new people that sat down . To top it off she went back to a table next to us , gave them a dessert menu and delivered complicated desserts promptly . All while we sat there , with no food and not even the little bowl of olives that you get when you are first seated . We almost walked out but instead asked the manager if he could get our food that was obviously sitting there. The seafood tower was a real obvious dish . I asked the manager when we paid , why ? He just shrugged his shoulders . The French people next to us were so nice and helped us order in French .
