What User doesn't like about La Meridienne:
View all feedback.
We booked this hotel because it looked dog friendly and had a garden with charming dining gazebos and rooms with balconies, but were shocked to discover that the garden is strictly forbidden to dogs so we couldn't have eaten in the garden anyway. We had no option but to walk the dog along the unsavoury rubbish strewn verge outside. The stairs to the bedroom floor were a bit frightening for her as they were shiny and slippery with open treads there was no lift and we were denied access to a tiled staircase nearby. The room allocated to us was totally unsuitable as although it did have a balcony as requested it was on two floors with a very steep wooden staircase to the sleeping and bathroom area, and only a clic clack on the main floor. The second room was acceptable, although rather shabby, especially the tiny shower/WC it had three beds, for which we were charged. On the plus side, the food was excellent although we didn't stay for breakfast. Although only minutes from the A75 autoroute we wouldn't stay there again. Not recommended.
We stayed at the hotel and had dinner at the restaurant two nights in a row. On the first night we had a menu with trout which was excellent but the meat on the second night was not as good. Several set menus to choose from, good choice of wines. Good value for money. Fast and friendly service.
Very nice friendly restaurant. A La Carte and Set menu's. Reasonably priced, good wine selection. Views of the garden. Helpful staff
