Our small group of 5 had the best olive oil and vinegar tasting experience with Francesco. It felt like we were in the home of a much beloved friend. His passion for his product is evident and inspiring. I really enjoyed his olive oil it was fresh and tasted lovely with notes of grass, and earth. His white truffle infused oil was fabulous as was both the lemon and orange infused oils. I purchased several small bottles to take home. My favorite of his vinegars was the “experimental” vinegar. It was like balsamic but way better. And the Grappa! Holy smokes was so good. I’ve never like grappa but I did like his. I purchased a few small bottles of that as well as his olive oil skin cream. Everyone should experience this place!
Welcoming atmosphere, with a variety of olive oils and other items to sample and a nice array of appetizers to go along with the bread offered. The owner provided an overview of how the oil is processed at the mill and also recommended that visitors come in November when the olives are harvested.
This place is quite hard to find and is set behind an old church off the main road. The overall randomness of the experience is very much part of the fun. We started with a tasting of a few different olive oils made at the estate along with some of their vinegar. This was followed by a very simple but wonderful lunch with pasta and fresh vegetables. Francesco who runs the place is so full of enthusiasm and provided some of his home made wine and grappa which was surprisingly good. Definitely worth a visit.
