Greenhorn Creek Resort - Angels Camp

Great spot to bring your family, it’s a beautiful gem.

This review is about the course, not the shop The first time playing Greenhorn Creek GC in Angels Camp. The course is in a newer housing development. My buddy and I got a golfmoose coupon for $79 for a twosome with the cart. In the fall and winter, you tee off in a shotgun format at 10:30 am to avoid frost conditions. They do have a range, but EVERYBODY is on it, so bring a sidesaddle of patience. Once we teed off, the round went pretty smoothly. We were paired with another twosome and started on the 16th tee. The tee boxes were clean and mostly well maintained. The fairways were a little rough, but that is probably due to the lack of rain to keep them green (see photos). The greens were hecka fast, even thought they had recently been sanded. We left putts short because we didn't want to overshoot the holes. The greens read fairly true with little undulation. The carts are in good condition, and the seats are very comfortable. No GPS, but they do have the ball and iron cleaner (nice touch). There were several restrooms available spaced out around the course. The course is a combination of elevation changes, blind tee shots, and wide driver fairways with few trees. Some fairways have narrow fairways where a five iron would be the best tee box choice. Overall, the experience was good, and we decided that we would come back. Note If you use a golfmoose coupon, it is not valid on Fri Sun, so book earlier in the week and save a few dollars.

Big tree Park and don’t miss the nice river inside Big tree park to 8 miles inside n enjoy but don’t come to this golf course as I felt so offended the way people speak there including phone transfers to Bill (Golf pro) when I hang up feeling like a joke. Bill called me right away. Seems he was already there all the time knowing .

Such a well kept and challenging golf course with nice firm greens giving you true roll putts.

The food is wonderful! We are eating here two days in a row! We had the Porterhouse 12/4 and tonight we are having the prawns stuffed with crab! Their Ceasar in a Parmesan Crisp bowl is amazing too! Amazing service and very friendly staff!
