Vi's - Angel Fire
Vi's
Description
Vi's offers a blend of culinary highs and lows, most notably renowned for its giant, flavorful burgers. Guests have enjoyed hearty meals post-activities like biking, but experiences vary dramatically. Some patrons encountered raw meat and greasy fries, while others praised friendly service and generous portions. Confusion over menu items and pricing has also been reported, alongside complaints about inconsistent food quality. Despite the shortcomings, guests appreciated the warm atmosphere and staff efforts to create a welcoming experience. As Vi's transitions to J's Diner, it remains a subject of curiosity and discussion among locals and visitors alike.

We initially tried to have breakfast at a different restaurant in town, but the service was so unfriendly that we decided to leave and come here instead. The husband-and-wife team who run this place are incredibly warm, and the food is exceptional! My oatmeal was clearly made from scratch, not instant. My son loved his pancakes and declared them among the best he’s ever had. I highly recommend venturing a little outside the village to find this gem! (Note: It will be under new ownership and will be called J's Diner starting March 1.)
The staff was awesome. They went out of the way to make our anniversary very special. But the food and drinks were lacking quality. The Mimosa's had no champagne, the prime rib was gray and not edible, the baked potatoes had cheese sauce not grated cheese. The desserts were beautiful but not tasty. Cookies were hard, cinnamon rolls tasted like fish, red velvet cake was dense, turtle cheesecake had separated. We appreciated how special they made us feel, but if we were to ever go back to Angel Fire(which we will not) we would not visit Vi's again.
