my wife theresa and I were on the way to atlanta by harrahs cherokee casino on Sunday 03/07 and we have starving. we came to anotherrews n. c. and found this phenomenal mom and pop restaurant name grandpa Charlie’s country cooking. that was the best part of our weekend. My wife Theresa and I were on our way to Atlanta from Harrah's Cherokee Casino on Sunday, March 7, and we were starving. We stopped in Andrews, NC, and discovered a fantastic mom-and-pop restaurant called Grandpa Charlie’s Country Cooking. It turned out to be the highlight of our weekend. The food was incredible—meat that fell off the bone and flavors that blew us away, along with many other amazing dishes that are too numerous to mention.
I had the French diving sandwich, and I would gladly travel 20 miles for another one. It reminded me of the Italian beef I always get in Chicago.
I was quite disappointed; the food was terrible.
