L'Avant Seine - Andrésy

As one of the very few places to eat outside in Andrésy in the evening, I really wanted to like this restaurant but the meal was disappointing and not cheap. The hamburger was nice enough but tiny (at almost 15€), the cod was chewy and bland and poorly presented; the accompanying tagliatelle were overcooked and cold. Service was slow as there was only one waiter who was completely run off his feet.

The hamburger was beautiful enough but tiny (at almost 15€, the cod was chewing and blandy and badly presented; the accompanying Tagliatelle were overcooked and cold. The service was slow as there was only one waiter who had completely run away from his feet.

This very badly maintained restaurant was taken over by a dynamic young crew app a year ago. They now offer daily Prix Fixe menus weekdays, standard diocese tariff, but always excellent. Today, Sunday, no formula, or menu set, only available at noon on weekdays, so two of us ordered and enjoyed Scallops (Coquille Saint Jacques), two ordered steak... I am very difficult with red meat, it wants warm but almost raw... was perfect. Great place. Our small sleepy town is getting very interesting food smart... we now have four or five really nice food options!
