We enjoyed our dinner. The brisket burnt ends are the best I have ever had. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We will be back.
Staff was friendly, Food was good, portion size was ok. Nice place. Some lady in the back was yelling at someone which ruined the quiet relaxing vibe.
The restaurant is very dark. The table was sticky and the walls dirty. The host was very effective and polite. The value for the food is very poor compared to surrounding restaurants and the meat was not cooked well. It was very chewy and very fatty. If the sauce is homemade it is done very well and the tea was good as well. I got 3 ribs for $18.00 total with tea and fries compared to surrounding restaurants 18-20 dollars is a full rack.
The food was fantastic! We ordered the Mighty 5, which offered more than enough for the five of us. However, I have two minor complaints. While you get three sides, they aren't large enough for one person unless you choose fries or chips. They're definitely not sufficient for five people. Also, the menu could use an update as it still shows catfish instead of brisket, which is one of the meats included in the Mighty 5.
If you're weary of the fast-food options on the strip, take a quick detour to Creekside for the best BBQ in Anderson. We both ordered the brisket rib dinner, and it did not disappoint. The bark on the ribs was outstanding, and the brisket was generously piled on the plate—definitely not skimpy portions. The meal comes with three sides that easily pass the homemade taste test. After enjoying half of my baked potato, I asked if they could reheat the other half. The staff was more than accommodating and brought me a piping hot, freshly baked potato just two minutes later, with the skin beautifully rubbed in oil and salt. A little butter, sour cream, and half of my Brunswick stew—another delicious side—made me a very happy customer. The only downside is that they don’t have a liquor license, but takeout is always an option.
