The Galley - Anderson County

Our family suggested The Galley for dinner as we were visiting from out of town and went for my husband’s birthday. They did not disappoint! The young man who waited on us, Michael, was amazing! Very patient, personable, and accommodating. The food was excellent! The experience was great!

So I must say we usually love the Galley! Today some of the things were really off. Now let me brag first! My husband’s dish was amazing and of course we both sampled each others bites! He had the bison and shrimp special while I had the trout and crab cake special. While his was amazing and let’s be honest I should have ordered his. Mine was as flavorless and not crispy at all on the inside plus my veggies had dirt in them. On the flip side, my two wine selection a where great as was my husband’s drink. His meal was fabulous as was the appetizer and salad which we failed to picture. Just please try harder on the main courses. And yes we did omit pics of the inside of my fish since usually this place is amazing!! Also a slight tip, please tell your severs which wines are sweet vs dry on both white and red.

Everything about The Galley is 5-star top notch. The food is absolutely delicious. The dining room is large and spacious. They can accommodate large groups, and seem to have a private room for larger groups. The staff is great! Servers were very knowledgeable about all the menu items. Their approach to you was just perfect. Not too much to make you feel constantly interrupted, and not so scarce to were you had to look around for them. The servers were extremely professional, friendly, and attentive. Much respect to the management team. And again, the food is very top shelf! Dietary restrictions: A person in my party has a very strict medical necessity for gluten-free items. Though they don't have a gluten-free menu per se, the server knew exactly which items were gluten-free, right down to the particular glazes. Very impressed! And, she also said that she would relay the need to the chef so that everything was noted.

We love The Galley and Sarah, the bartender, is amazing! Sushi is always great (Dakota is an awesome sushi chef) and our food is always great!
