My spring rolls were... read more Very disappointed with my meal. Nothing was freshly cooked. Each course arrived instantly straight from wherever it had been keeping warm. My spring rolls were stale and lukewarm, the main course of sweet and sour pork was soft and soggy instead of fresh and crispy. As for the music the only music I want to hear in an oriental restaurant is oriental music! I do not want to hear the same awful cheesey love song/ballad on repeat over and over again!!! I was there for over an hour, must have heard it over 25 times! My frequent complaints, and requests for someone to sort it out were totally ignored by both the waiting staff and the boss lady. All in all a very disappointing experience.

We first got... read more The Ristorante Cinese e Orientale opened in Ancona in 2001 and is run by a family that has over 25 years of experience in the restaurant business. We first got to know them years ago, in their earlier restaurants in the area, and they have always improved and expanded, a very good sign. Comfortable setting, nice, large tables, well-spaced. This is without a doubt the best Chinese restaurant in the Ancona area. The prime ingredients are of excellent quality, well- prepared. They will also prepare some things on request, when they can. Their Japanese and sushi menu is always expanding too, with some new and inventive dishes, such as vegetarian and fruit uramaki. We usually order our favorite dishes à la carte. All of the traditional Chinese "antipasti "such as spring rolls and steamed dumplings are hand made and excellent. We particularly love the Ramen Ebi, a rich tasting ramen soup with a large shrimp on top, and their sizzling pepper shrimp on a hot plate and vegetables are fresh and vibrant tasting. Curry dishes also very, very good. They also offer a really reasonably priced All You Can Eat formula, both for lunch and dinner, which is especially fun when treating our younger, famished friends! At the restaurant they recently added a digital device that allows you to order directly from the table and send the order to the kitchen. The restaurant also has an online digital menu with many new dishes, and they will deliver, but they offer a 30% discount on sushi if you pick up at the restaurant, which is a cute idea : Highly recommended.

I absolutely recommend the entire selection of more traditional Chinese food, while the sushi is average, comparable to most all-you-can-eat restaurants. Reasonable prices, and the staff are extremely quick and courteous.
