We ate here on a Tuesday evening in September. The were plenty of tables and the noise level was low. The service was great and the waitstaff was able to answer all questions. The Goat Cheese Balls were amazing! They had a little bit of heat that was offset by the honey drizzled onto the balls. One of the best appetizers I have ever ordered. The Rockfish tacos were firm with a small amount of spicy heat in the slaw.... View all feedback.
What David Gallegos doesn't like about Tequila 61°:
We ate near the end of the night, so hopefully this experience isn 't universal. We ordered 2x drinks, 2x appetizers, and 2x taco plates. The blackened salmon tacos were not blackened, but stood out as the best item among a field of bland, overcooked, overpriced regrets. The serving staff was nice, but couldn 't make up for food that cost comparably to a high-end restaurant butdelivers bottom of the barrel quality. View all feedback.

I went here for lunch and it was very good. Was able to get a free order of chips and salsa from a local coupon book. The salsa was a little spicy but not overwhelming. I would highly recommend the Chicken Al Pastor tacos. Rice and beans were also good but $5 extra.
I’ve only ever come for drinks, but every time I do they’re amazing. Perfect balance of “yup, this is tequila” without it being “oh god this is tequila.” Awesome place for dinner, dark decor but the large windows send in a lot of sunlight and it feels amazing.
The bartender really didn't tend to us. We got 1 drink but he never came back, I had some questions about tequila and I couldn't ask him because he just made him self not approachable. They weren't busy at the bar. The server/host lady questioned us when we went to the bar even after verifying it was open seating at the bar. She apologized and was sweet, but the whole experience was just a little off. The drink I had was great tho and the tacos were really tasty.
Nina was our server and made the whole experience awesome. The margaritas were great and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend stopping in and making a reservation if you have the time while you’re in Anchorage.
