We stumbled upon this gem and are so glad we did! The dishes we tried were delightful, not overcooked or overly sauced. The catfish was perfectly light and flavorful. The pork ribs, yams, potato salad, and the buzz were all standout items as well. It's a family-run establishment, and everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming, treating us like guests in their home. We will definitely return the next time we're in Anc... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Roscoe's Catfish And Barbeque:
Things I look forward to from a Bar-B-Q shop are the sides as much as the meat selections. It has been disappointing after a couple of visits. Greens and baked beans lack flavor. The Mac and Cheese is made with different shaped pasta. The problem is that the sizes of the pasta are not cooked separately and are not all cooked well. It's an interesting concept that isn't working. Cornbread is super dry and lacks flavor... View all feedback.
If you haven’t tried this place- you need to. We ordered the brisket, catfish, oxtail, Mac cheese, collard greens, yams, empanadas and the food did not disappoint. Generous portion sizes, food has lots of flavor and the atmosphere is warm and upbeat. HIGHLY recommend.

I wish my food would have came as the pictures that are on the internet. I ordered double meat special…was expecting a catfish fillet but got 5 little pieces of mostly breaded fish…the crumbs (left over fish) basically fried, pulled BBQ pork that had to be 1/2 a scoop with a dab of sauce on it, a better size scoop of green beans and collard greens (they were out of the dirty rice I wanted) and then a cup of okra for $4…couldn’t even fill the cup up?!?! And Campbells makes a better chicken and sausage gumbo, everything was cold except the sodas they were warm. All this for $43…a purchase I will not make again! It’s been years since I ate at Roscoes and it will be a few more years before I eat there again, if I do. This is just my opinion, maybe I just went there on a bad day. ??
Great food, Sabrina was very helpful and knew the menu well. She provided great customer care and carefully placed our order. The atmosphere was relaxed with lots of space. Rosco even came over making sure we had a good experience! I had fish, greens , mac and cornbread with red kool-aid??. Made me feel at home.
I loved my experience at Roscoe's we were greeted when we came in and the hostess was as kind as could be saw people coming in and headed out with plates loaded with food.I had the brisket and catfish with collard greens and fries brisket was melt in your mouth tender, catfish had a nice crispness you only get with cornmeal, and the sweet tea was great as well. I also got to try the pulled pork from the back and that tanginess was so good! This will definitely be a return visit for us here it's been difficult finding good gluten free places and I was able to find plenty without sacrificing on flavor.Parking: Ample space you won't be hurting for a spotWheelchair accessibility: Ground level and double wide doorsDietary restrictions: I can't have gluten myself but I was able to find plenty. And I didn't have to skimp on the flavor!
