Phonatik Vietnamese Cuisine - Anchorage

First initial experience is simply, alright . Firstly was greeted coldly by the cashier lady with the piercings, tatts and looks like pen drawings on her arms in the mix; when stating I was dining in, the first lines without looking at me were, take any place with a menu . I took my seat and the waitress was rather lovely and charming, she was also apologetic when they were out of bread when I wanted a vietnamese sandwich, so that was unfortunate for me, therefore I went with the pho combo. Apparently, they don 't have siracha bottles; they 'll come in by the ounce containers if asked for. Any additional siracha you 'll be charged for. Food was as expected for the most part as a somewhat fulfilling meal, just poor atmosphere, but the waitress made up for it being as helpful as she could be. On the way out, same cashier lady took and charged my bill in a snarky manner. Everyone else was fine but her.

Bun Thit Nuong is good withvermicelli and pork, if you mix all of it, it's tasty Healthy, I like also the Grilled beef roll with peanut sauce.The best is Rare steak, the soup taste so yummy and the brooth smell good tasty, it's Recommend.1 thing it's a bit bothering me but no big deal, The waiter when she clean the table, she wiped all food flakes at table to the floor, my suggestion use a small pan to pick it up throw at dustbin.Overall it's a good Pho resto with reasonable price and also the portion it's big too.

Some of the best Vietnamese food you can find in Anchorage. The pho no matter what kind is so good. But if you go make sure to try any of the rolls. The All Pork Roll was the one I tried based on the suggestion of my server and let me say, she didn’t lead me astray as it was delish. The service was great and the food was even better. A definite must try when you’re in the mood for Pho!

Truly enjoyed my dish.. had their grilled pork (something I don't eat often) came with rice topped with egg, side salad and side chicken broth... Loved it!Food: 5/5

Great place to have Vietnamese foods, their portion are huge. Staff are friendly, price are descent. Love their Pho, and Porkchop with rice.Food: 5/5
