O'brady's Burgers Brew - Anchorage

I stopped by this restaurant around 4:30 PM on a Tuesday afternoon. Aside from a few locals at the bar, there was also a table of elderly tourists discussing their plans for the next day.

I just had the chili and a beer, and both were great! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. The bartender was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable.

We dined as a party of five and ordered ribeye steaks, but there were none available. We opted for the New York strip instead. We requested our steaks to be cooked medium, but unfortunately, all of them came out well done and quite tough. Additionally, the steamed vegetables appeared to be frozen.

The service was pleasant, and we really enjoyed the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a charming touch to see a faint clover design on the foam of the Guinness. The Italian wedding soup was warm and hearty, just as we hoped. However, the pot roast was somewhat disappointing, though it wasn't bad. I’m interested in trying other items on the menu.

This place is fantastic! They have a great selection of drinks, and while they are slightly on the pricier side, that's pretty standard for Alaska. We started with the Brie and garlic appetizer, which was delicious: a generous portion, fresh bread, perfectly cooked garlic, and excellent Brie. For our main courses, we tried the pot roast dinner and the Shepherd's pie. The pot roast was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and accompanied by plenty of steamed vegetables. The Shepherd's pie was good too, loaded with mashed potatoes and flavorful meat, and the vegetables were cooked just right. We also indulged in the death by chocolate cake, which was incredibly rich and definitely needed the ice cream to balance it out. The Irish cream cheesecake was delightful—just the right level of richness, full of flavor, and had a wonderful brownie-like crust. The service was fast, attentive, and thoughtful. Overall, I’d give it a perfect 10/10; it’s my new go-to spot for comfort food in town!
