Ihop - Anchorage

I felt compelled to write this review because of our server, Jeff! He was incredibly friendly and attentive. Our food arrived quickly and was both delicious and satisfying! Thank you, Jeff, for providing such excellent service!

I visited the restaurant before the dinner rush on August 3, 2022. When my wife and I arrived, there were two tables finishing their meals and two others already dining, so it was not busy at all. We were escorted to our seats, but after waiting for over ten minutes without anyone coming by to take our food or drink order—and we hadn't even met our server yet—we decided to leave. We went to Applebee's down the road instead. The food there may be average, but at least the service is consistently good. I won't be returning to this IHOP.

The order was correct, but the quality of the food was very disappointing. I placed a pickup order through the GH app and got the spinach and mushroom omelet with seasonal fruits, while my boyfriend had the steak omelet. Both omelets were drenched in what appeared to be nacho cheese sauce, which we didn’t request, and it completely ruined the taste. As for the seasonal fruits, there were hardly any decent pieces; the apple slices were paper-thin, and the cantaloupe and pineapple consisted mostly of the edges and cores. I won’t be ordering from here again.

The service seemed to be lacking, possibly due to insufficient staff. There wasn't anyone attending to us right away. Overall, the experience was average. However, the kids enjoyed their meals.

I visited this restaurant early on a Sunday and had the spicy poblano dish with sour cream. The bread was fresh, and the omelette was delicious. Our server, Aaron, provided excellent service! I definitely recommend this place for a comforting breakfast!
