You can't go wrong with everything you do here. the flying Dutchman brings wonderful memories back to the years we lived in Europe when we were stationed there with the US army. we also appreciate that the bakery routinely has fundraiser for local non-profits. a family-run anchorage gemstone. Our family and friends where very disappointed when at the birthday party the ' ' key-lime ' ' cheese cake that we purchased and presented amongst the group had absolutely no flavor and was ultimately thrown away. I hope the readers of this post take this complaint about the so-called key-lime cheese cake as warning to not waist your money.. View all feedback.
I ordered a white raspberry retirement cake for my husband, and it was a hit! I can't recall ever seeing people go back for seconds on a cake at a party before. It was fantastic!
The German Chocolate cake was dry and primarily composed of buttercream, with only a thin layer of coconut pecan filling between the layers. Overall, the cake did not have the moisture I was expecting.
The Flying Dutchman is my family’s favorite bakery. We really love their variety of tarts, and my personal favorite is the chocolate-covered peanut butter cookies! The staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. As you look around, you can also learn a bit about Dutch history. I highly recommend it if you're in the mood for delicious treats and want to support an immigrant and LGBTQ+ friendly space!

This is the bakery of my dreams! It is so happy in there. The less sugar/fat bran muffins are my very favorite but everything I’ve tried is yummy and adorable! Don’t leave without a bag of the chewy granola on the counter, it will not disappoint!
