Tasty fried foods; like crab legs lobster, along with shrimp catfish. Various sides available. Desserts are dreamy plentiful. 6+ cake options with several pie choices. Will return. Davon's is open on Thursdays. Different vendors occupy space other days. View all feedback.

Great place! Make sure if you go in you have about 2 hours to kill because you won't want to leave. The person behind the desk was nice too.
Delicious soul food with large portions, I love getting a meal that has all the sides, a drink and dessert! All the cake was so delicious, I especially loved the lemon????

The food helps me not miss the lower 48 (hard to find Catfish here) and has also introduced me to cakes I had never heard of before!?
I absolutely loved Davon's Place. I got the catfish dinner with a slice of strawberry crunch cake, sweet potato pie, and fried okra. The catfish pieces were of a great size for the price, were fried crispy, not oily, and with great flavor. I am very picky with my mac n' cheese and greens, but they were both very good. The taste her of her Mac wasn't too heavy or cheesy, great creamy consistency with good flavor as well. I really do appreciate that the greens are made with turkey and not pork as I do not eat pork. They were not overly cooked and had great packed flavor, as well as her yams. The fried okra was perfect crispy and not soggy or oily. The only thing I can say about the okra were that some pieces were a tad salty, so I would recommend possibly using just a very tad little less of salt for the breading, but it wasn't overbearing. I still loved way more it compared to other places in town. They owner was extremely friendly and gave me more than a great experience! I would honestly recommend this restaurant over other soul food restaurants or businesses in town. Thank you!
