Description

A cozy, old-school Anchorage diner serving generous, classic comfort breakfast and lunch—pancakes, hashbrowns, cherry waffle and hearty skillet dishes shine, with homemade sauces, soups and beer/espresso available. The familiar, family-friendly vibe draws locals, but experiences vary: food is often praised while service, coffee quality and wait times are inconsistent, and ventilation can be poor. Best for relaxed mornings or lunches when you aren’t in a rush; not ideal for evening dining.

The service was absolutely terrible! I came in alone during a moderately busy time when the restaurant was about half full, and there was a sign that said to seat yourself, so I did. After about five minutes without a server even acknowledging me, a group of five walked in and was approached by a server within thirty seconds, receiving menus promptly. I was really hungry, but it was embarrassing that the servers prioritized the larger group over me. The service was awful, and the atmosphere was uninviting.

Cozy little café with excellent service. We arrived to find no wait and were quickly seated at a table for four. The coffee was decent, but the American-style brew resembles standard drip coffee, so if you're looking for something at a barista level, you might want to choose a different option. Overall, the flavor was good, though some ceiling tiles could use replacing due to previous damage. The small memorial for veterans is quite impressive, and we appreciated the dedication and service it represents.

We ordered a veggie omelette with hash browns and French toast, as well as buttermilk pancakes with sausage. It was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! The server was incredibly sweet and kind. I loved the experience!

Only went there once, as it seemed like a bizarre haven for #magats, but the wait staff were all great. if you have a kid who loves unicorns, take them here

Cozy and inviting atmosphere with a family-friendly vibe, the food and coffee here are excellent, and there's plenty to take home as well! I've tried their specialty dishes multiple times after church, and even brought some back for my daughter who just welcomed a new baby. It was perfect!
