This family-owned business offers an incredibly efficient and warm staff that truly enhances your experience. The flavors here are simply unbeatable! They also provide delivery services and can prepare fantastic gift baskets that can be sent via FedEx to anywhere in the world, or you can take them with you. Inside, there's a delightful mini-store featuring an incredible selection of sandwich meats, cheeses, and various seafood options, along with a charming German market filled with wonderful treats. The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting; it feels beautiful just to walk in. I genuinely miss this place so much! I spent four and a half wonderful years working here, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat just for the chance to be part of such a great family—this time, I would want to stay forever. The smoked salmon here is excellent quality, and I believe it’s worth the price. However, the woman at the counter seemed incredibly unhappy—she looked either bored or exhausted, and didn’t want to engage in conversation or answer any questions. She was the rudest salesperson I’ve ever come across; I’m surprised she still has her job.

We caught 37 lbs of Rockfish and Salmon in Seward, but we were unsure about how to process and ship it back to Texas since we had no experience with shipping fish. After speaking with several locals, we chose Alaska Sausage and Seafood. I had heard they were the priciest in town, but given our lack of knowledge, we trusted the local recommendations. We were extremely satisfied with their service. They expertly cleaned, deboned, and packaged our catch for under $200. They also advised us to take it on the plane instead of shipping, as that would help maintain the quality. They stored our fish at their facility for three days at no charge until we could pick it up on our way to the airport. Checking the fish in and collecting it in Houston turned out to be much easier than we expected, so I definitely recommend checking it instead of shipping. I can't recommend this place enough! A huge thank you to them for assisting tourists like us in bringing home fresh fish and making the entire process stress-free with their excellent service and advice.
