I’ve been at this restaurant for nearly an hour now, and the atmosphere is incredibly friendly and inviting. The staff are wonderful—sweet, polite, and very helpful. They offer a wide selection of dishes, and the menu is extensive, providing plenty of options for whatever you’re in the mood for. I usually go for the mixed grill, and the lamb is absolutely perfect. The kofta is juicy, and the beef is delicious. They a... View all feedback.
What Emmie Sporer doesn't like about El Mahroosa Hookah Cafe:
Is this a new management? I returned after a while, and the food was fantastic last time. However, my recent visit a few weeks ago left me very disappointed. The food was not prepared the same way it was during my previous visit. They even had the audacity to serve me a small salad that was clearly from a prepackaged bag you can buy at the grocery store. Middle Eastern restaurants are known for their fresh salads, bu... View all feedback.
Many people will say? Nothing hits home and that's true, but you can't compare a restaurant in Anaheim with your aunt table in Cairo. This place has a decent ambience, a friendly service and food that is good. It did not send my palate back to Egypt, but it felt good to have some Egyptian food after I was not in Egypt for a few months. We ordered Koshari (a must) and Pigeon with Molokhiya (which is great because you do not usually find pigeon in your average grocery store). However, prices are not bad, they are significantly higher than their nearby competitors with almost an identical menu, Cairo Cafe.
?? EGYPT (via Eat the World Los Angeles) The menu is many pages long and meanders in and out of just about everything that can be enjoyed in Egypt and throughout the Levant and Arabian Peninsula. Families come here together to enjoy big platters of mandi and/or kabsa with chicken or lamb, shawerma and kababs, and a host of mezze and fried appetizers, but the kitchen really excels with specifically Egyptian dishes that are not available in nearby restaurants with Lebanese, Palestinian, or Syrian owners.
El Mahroosa Restaurant Hookah Café located in the heart of Little Arabia District in Anaheim, California is Orange County?s own authentic Middle Eastern restaurant. We serve only the freshest and highest quality meats and vegetables for our food. We also serve all your favorite hookah brands and flavors including Alfakher, Starbuzz and Nakhla. We ordered so many delicious food! And the waiter ?mohammad? was so kind and super nice with the service. I recommend highly the place.
Parking available. Big space. Good for hooka. Usually busy. Service is ok you have to remind them you are there when they are busy. Food is amazing!!! Portions are generous. Noise level is high
This establishment is both a hookah bar and a restaurant. The ceiling fans do a great job of minimizing smoke. The Mediterranean cuisine was excellent, and the portions are generous. I visited with a group of six, and we ordered a variety of dishes; everyone was extremely satisfied with their meals. There are large-screen TVs all around, and the volume was quite high with Middle Eastern music and videos, which enhances the overall atmosphere.
