We were touring from Quebec stayed at the newly renovated Auberge in the countryside. There was little else around so we ate in their country style restaurant. Dinner was OK but our fish chicken were both a bit dry. Breakfast however was great fresh plentiful. View all feedback.
What Donald P doesn't like about Restaurant L'ambassadeur:
Ordered a very expensive Lobster Club sandwich and found pieces of shell, cartilage, and parts of the lobster you should not eat. I also ordered a Sangria that tasted like flavored water. Overall, an expensive experience that I regret having. View all feedback.
My wife and I chose to dine at the hotel restaurant after a long day of driving. We were the only customers in the dining area, apart from the staff, which should have been a red flag. My wife ordered salmon, while I opted for a chicken skewer, both served with rice, salad, and Greek potatoes. Unfortunately, the food arrived lukewarm. The salmon was small, thin, and very overcooked, while the chicken was not much better. We took a few bites and then decided to stop eating. When we expressed our disappointment to the server, he responded defensively and made some rude remarks. The situation escalated and we ultimately left without having dinner. In summary, the food was terrible, the service was poor, and the prices were too high for what was offered. I would not recommend dining at this restaurant.
Meals were VERY good, particularly for the prices, and the servers were both good at the job, and fun as well.
Stayed in Amqui Quebec visiting family while touring the east coast and were tired of burgers and fast food so we decided to try this restaurant. The dinners we tried off the menu were the hot chicken sandwich and the minute steak special which both were excellent choices and very reasonably priced. The service was very good with our waitress speaking a bit of English and gave us a menu written in both French and English.
Early breakfast and fast service Typical morning eggs, meat, homefries, toast, coffee Well priced Only real breakfast restaurant in town other than Fast food eateries
