Was Jack Speed at Guy's Oyster a mag?
As visitors from out of town, we decided to check out Guy’s based on a friend’s recommendation. Although it seemed like everyone there was a regular, they welcomed us like we were part of the family. We each ordered a po-boy—one with shrimp and one with oysters—and split them in half to enjoy a taste of both. Both options were fantastic! We always make it a priority to visit Guy's Oyster Bar in Amite, LA. They offer the best oysters, the staff is extremely friendly, the ambiance is wonderful, and the jukebox is top-notch. We will definitely return!

This charming local bar and restaurant provides fresh ingredients, generous portions, strong drinks, and a friendly atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp Po'Boy and onion rings, and both were amazing! Although I was just passing through, I would definitely return.

I have consistently received outstanding service at this restaurant, and one of its most notable features is that they shuck their own oysters. Given that Amite is renowned for its oyster processing, visiting during the Amite Oyster Festival in March allows you to truly appreciate the local pride that shines through. The food at Guy's is exceptional. In fact, I can confidently say that after trying some of the finest po-boy shops in New Orleans, I've never had an oyster po-boy as delicious as the one here. To create the perfect oyster po-boy, you need high-quality oysters, expert frying, and excellent bread—and Guy's excels in all these aspects.
