We had dinner here last night. It was a particularly busy night due to the street art/music festival being on. We found the waiters to be lively, entertaining (also patient with our limited French) and working hard to ensure all the diners needs were met. The menu whilst a little limited/basic was reasonably priced and the meals we had were great. Highlight was dessert - Le Tout Chocolat. Location was perfect as there was lots to see and hear. We have eaten at a number of similar brasseries in Amiens during our time in Amiens but this was our favourite mainly due to the attitude of the guys working out front on the terrace.
We visited in evening but were advised only limited choice available. We ordered the local Ficelle Picardie and some wine. After the wine had been served the waited told us that all the Ficelles had gone and all that was available was Lasagne. I felt that as we had the wine we should go with the alternative but feel aggrieved we were not toid before the wine was served.
I sat down with my partner. Was told move by staff. Who then took took are place mat and napkins. We ordered out food and drink. The bill was brought to us befor our food. This would not be a problem apart from the fact the other 20 people where not presented with there bill. Food was ok. I order another drink and another bill arrived. But still none for people around us whom had finished eating at this point still had no bill. . We both found this quite disturbing and felt like treated theifs.
It's a typical bar in town. Nothing good, nothing bad to say about it. It's conveniently located in the city center.
