Description
**Dining at Panda Express: A Mixed Bag of Experiences**
Panda Express offers a convenient dining option, though reviews suggest a blend of satisfaction and disappointment. While the food is generally decent, many patrons express frustration with limited menu availability, often encountering a lack of items during visits. Customer service issues also surface, yet the quick service may make up for it. Some locations, like Ankeny, provide a more enjoyable experience than others, such as Jordan Creek, which has faced complaints about unpleasant odors. Overall, while the American-style cuisine may not appeal to those seeking authenticity, it remains a reliable choice for a quick meal on a budget.

I appreciate the criticism even though I could happily eat at Panda Express every week! I fully acknowledge that the sauce is thicker and definitely American-style cuisine (as advertised) rather than authentic Chinese. I was a bit surprised, as I didn't expect the flavors to be different from what I'm used to, especially the bell pepper and the other elements that didn't have that familiar orange flavor.
It's okay, on a budget. On the go. This place has a lot to work on. Usually customer service is pretty bad. But you go through the line so quick that it's easy to deal with. Food is okay. And quick.
The food and service were both good. However, they had run out of napkins. I understand supply issues can happen, but given that there's a Target and a Walmart nearby, couldn’t they have picked some up from there?
