This cozy diner serves up some of the best breakfast in town. The pancakes are a must-try, and the syrup is top-notch. While some patrons have experienced unprofessional service and questionable quality, others enjoy the old-school American ambiance and delicious food. The wait can be long, so arrive early with cash in hand. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the pancakes being made. Overall, this restaurant is a true gem for those seeking a classic American breakfast experience.

Nice local place for breakfast. The food is good as well as inexpensive. The wait between being seated and having someone to take our order was awkwardly long, especially since it's a small place but decent overall View all feedback.
What Karen Runte dislikes about Grove Cafe:
Pancakes were super light color and tasted kinda off like chemicals or something didnt taste like they usually do. They also need more options on eatstreet to add extras like chocolate chips or Strawberrys to the pancakes. I've eaten this place so many times but today was my first bad experience.. Hasn't changed from the 60's. Great food at a reasonable price. The pancakes are excellent and very large. Great old time Cafe feel and food.
A delicious raspberry rhubarb pancake! The pancake was light and tender. Also appreciated the homemade syrup!
Make sure to order the French toast if you visit this restaurant. It is without a doubt the best French toast I have ever tasted. I would suggest only coming with a small group as the place is on the smaller side.
We absolutely loved this restaurant. It is a cozy cafe located in a small town, surrounded by a college campus. Be sure to arrive earlier than planned as there may be a wait for a table, but it is worth it. Take your time and enjoy the experience. The breakfast we had here was by far the best in town, and we have tried many others. The pancakes are a must-try, especially if you can sit at a spot where you can watch them being made. I ordered the famous pancake with scrambled eggs and ham, all cooked perfectly. I was only able to finish about a third of the large, flavorful pancake with homemade syrup. My husband got the ham and cheese omelet with homemade hash browns and toast, and his meal was also delicious. The portion sizes are perfect for a normal appetite, except for the oversized pancakes. The building may be old, but the service was excellent, friendly, and fast.
