If you're looking to spend over $... read more Not my cup of tea at all... Yesterday, I visited Cactus 2 in Ames with a friend, and it turned out to be a regrettable choice. If you're looking to spend over $50 for two entrees, chips, and queso that lack flavor, then Cactus is the place for you. The second order of chips costs $6 and is loaded with grease. The waitress was kind and friendly, and she clearly wasn't new. However, her coworkers seemed more interested in their phones, which struck me as very unprofessional.

It feels like the sauce is mad... read more The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly, but the food is incredibly salty—some of the saltiest I've ever encountered. It feels like the sauce is made from saltwater. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, I recommend heading down the street to Mr. Burrito. However, if you're just looking to have some drinks and want a side of Mexican food, this place will do.
