Does FRESH seafood sound appealing? This is the best place to get it! Despite the small size of the place, it packs a huge wallop of delicious food! We enjoyed shrimp, scallops and oysters, fried to perfection. View all feedback.
What April Stelter doesn't like about Seafood Center:
We had lunch there yesterday and ordered tilapia and catfish. Unfortunately, the tilapia was overcooked and so dry that I could only manage to eat a small portion of the center. The fries were unappetizing, although the coleslaw was decent. The hush puppies were disappointingly small. After waiting 45 minutes for our food, the meal turned out to be quite disappointing. The humidity in the back room was overwhelming,... View all feedback.

The owners/managers need to know you have agrateful and wonderful team, please give them the tools to reach their potential and provide an as advertised experience at least. Years of F&B experience, and NO boss should pool ut their employees in a position to have to constantly apologize. The staff is wonderful, the food, not at all unless frozen filets/nuggets are worth over 10 bucks for a meal to you. After several tries, it has yet to be anything more than I am starving so whatever. Warm oysters, was told on 3 different occasions there were crab legs available yet they weren 't so I gave up on that dream. I see people eating it really high saying it 's the best they have had. As a chef, I PROMISE you, just hit me up and I will pay for your meal (even as a broke sous! . I tried so many times to enable good fresh food in americus and bagged frozen and fried was always easier. ANYONE trying to find the average, base standard with higher quality and lower price in this area, you 're more than welcome to call. Especially the staff. I NEVER poach employees but it hurts to see people having their potential limited so badly. It was PERFECT as far as staff and chef/cooks attitude, but they can only work with what you give them. This town is DESPERATE for over 15 years now for in town restaurants to serve worthwhile food. Why are people so resistant to better quality for less money and more restaurants able to provide this...? Its what people always asked for (like many other things in Americus, yet wont bother with supporting what they 've deserved , moving back has really been a shock the past 1.5 years at how these places prey on the needs of diners and never deliver. There are exceptions, you know who you are j *wink wink*
I had a taste for some Cajun seafood pasta, and decided to try it from this place. When I walked in, I almost turned around because of the odor. It stinks in there. It does not smell like a seafood place. It literally stinks. That was a wasted $14.03. Practically all of it went into the trash. It needs to be removed from the menu, as it was not good or tasty. Shells were still on the shrimp, and the pasta was under cooked. It was not good at all. I do believe that was my 1st and last time ordering there.
First time trying this restaurant, and they were really good. Our waitress was nice and helpful and the food was good. They have the BEST fries! Hot, crispy and seasoned just right, I had the Swai nuggets and my daughter had the low-country boil and we both enjoyed. You don't get a tremendous amount in the boil, but it is very well seasoned. But best of all, they have CRUSHED ICE Which I absolutely Love????
We had a party of 8. Service was a little slow, but the food was delicious and came broiled or fried to preference. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back. The coleslaw is wonderful! Best to in town!
