The pergolato outdoor dining is unique and fascinating with the white grapes over your head. The dining area by the river is excellent for large crowds. Over the time I have learned that the special taste of pesce alla brace is because they use the wood of the Vineyard or oak wood from the surrounding woods. What SCaboto doesn't like about Antica Locanda Il Pilota:
lady owner is descendant of old il Pilota who founded this place in the early years of last century. atmosphere is that of a lovely Italian locanda at the seaside where you dine under a vineyard pergola with real grapes waiting to be eated. perhaps the fact they do not behave like this is a unique place as it is indeed, this keeps the restaurant locanda intact over the years. nice place to visit if you look for real... Found it by chance whilst having business in the area. Had lunch outside from the limited but good fish menu. Quality of food was excellent and price reasonable. They should work on details (furnishing and outdoor chairs not really pleasant). Parking might be a problem since the restaurant is few meters from the sea shore and is reached through a very narrow street; better to live the car in the neighbouring streets; walk will be pleasant. Definitely worth a stop.
Same family since beginning of ‘900 ... superb taste of tradition in this very nice place with terrace overlooking the river and nice room inside. Try !

Is an inn, unpretentious, located in a charming location, with clean rooms ( River/sea view), friendly staff and a great restaurant. good value for money
Beautiful location with terrace on the river, improved service, some waiters a little bit sloppy. Good risotto and fried. not bad white wine house company. honest price
