Menu is only in French and we struggled to tr... read more We were trying to make a reservation in this restaurant for 11 people, and were asked to chose food from the menu. Menu is only in French and we struggled to translate and make our choices, which we sent over to restaurant. Shortly after our message we received another message from the restaurant which we tried to translate and did not understand eventually. Google translate gave us very strange translation… Shortly after that our reservation was cancelled on the day of booking Message to the restaurant english is also not my mother tongue language, I speak Russian and Estonian but english is international mean of communication. It’s rude to assume that tourist should speak French and understand your menu and messages you send We don’t visit restaurants with rude attitude to their guest even already over the email

We started out with the foie... read more Our group of 4 was simply blown away by the food. This was place was recommended by our hotel when its restaurant was fully booked. We started out with the foie gras and mushroom soup which was amazing. Each of us ordered a different dish and each was fantastic. We shared a chocolate mouse and their special apple tart, which topped off a great dinner. The service was fast and friendly.

For dessert I had th... read more My wife and I ate here on May 23rd. My wife had the rabbit appetizer and the fish dinner. I had the grilled shrimp appetizer and the filet. For dessert I had the chocolate praline and my wife had the strawberry dessert. Service was great and the food was very good and hot. We would go back. The waitress was very busy and was the only wait staff for the restaurant but she was pleasant, attentive and friendly. We were very impressed with how much she was doing and still maintained a smile.

This was just a couple of blocks from our hotel, Hotel Au Charms Rabelaisen. Both the Hotel and My Trip France recommended this restaurant. We arrived 7:15 and... read more This was just a couple of blocks from our hotel, Hotel Au Charms Rabelaisen. Both the Hotel and My Trip France recommended this restaurant. We arrived 7:15 and was seated immediately. You could tell they were short staffed since the one lady, who was very efficient, was doing everything with the dinners and just seemed to have maybe a chef. We ordered and I misspoke and ended up getting more food than I wanted or needed. There was a little translation problem and because she was only one there and she was servicing all the dinners. The food I got was very good as was all of ours. I wanted entree, plat and dessert but mentioned I wanted meat also and I didn't understand the menu. Needless to say nothing was wasted but just too much. If you go take your time and if you don't know french, point out what you want and verify. NOTE: IT WAS NOT THE RESTAURANT BUT ME CHANGING MY MIND.
