Contribute Feedback What How it is Liz likes about La Cave Aux Fouees:
We had an enjoyable dinner at La Cave aux Fouėes in Amboise. There was a very large group of us dining together. I was a bit underwelmed with the dinner. The meal was pre selected, so I think that had a lot to do with my slight disappointment. The salad was good. Pork balls and pita bread aren't my favorite, so I didn't eat very much other than salad. This is of no fault to the restaurant. The food was prepared well... View all feedback.
What Dennis Nikolaus doesn't like about La Cave Aux Fouees:
Nous sommes venus dîner en famille. Accueil très chaleureux et sympathique. Concernant le repas j'ai été par contre très déçu de la qualité globale de la nourriture. Ayant l'habitude de manger des fouees dans d'autres restaurants les accompagnements sont d'habitude de bien meilleure facture. Je regrette aussi un peu l'esprit cantine mais pour ça j'aurai dû me renseigner avant. View all feedback.
This atypical restaurant deserves a detour. pascal and all his team offered us an excellent awakening with an animation of the thunder only small dish the sono was not terrible) . we did not see the time spent. Thank you for this very good time.
We spent a very good evening, a really great atmosphere but then very successful, I nevertheless took a small star because the meal was certainly good but I stay on my end especially the dessert that I know well (damage for a New Year's dinner) time well chosen fat, small entrance holy jacques without too much taste the dish was very good (from the dick) it is true that a little dick would have been pleasant.
First, entering a troglodyte cellar for a family meal is not common. The room is huge, dug into the limestone rock of the Amboise cliffs and the staff is welcoming, attentive and effective. Reservation by phone, 5 adults, 4 children. Already on the site, the concept is attractive. For adults, unique formula at 29.50 €, entry, dish, cheese and dessert, 1/4 wine and coffee included, with bonus and at will the famous bread called smoke. The bread is a bread made of wheat flour, water, salt and cooked leaven with wood fire and hot towel, ready to be garnished with delicious rillettes accompanied by salad, followed by thighs of pintade and its gratin of potatoes. Cherry on the cake, the 12-year-old child menu is €10, chicken nuggets and noodles, dessert and drink. Distributing with a carton of 6 good bottles of Bourgueil the one served during the meal) is a plus, and at a reasonable price.
Very good reception. The unique menu is warm and the staff is very pleasant and smiling, cordial. I highly recommend this installation.
