Not fancy, just wonderfully prepared comfort food that feels like someone is making for you in their home, all with great attention and care. Small, cozy and family run mostly locals seem to dine here. We had the steak and shrimp and both were simply terrific save room for their desserts too. The male waiter was... read more We had high hopes for this local restaurant in a rural village near where we were staying due to the trip advisor reviews but we were wrong. The male waiter was incredibly rude and unfriendly. It came as a shock as we have not experienced this anywhere else in Portugal. Dirty tables, bad service, no Plata del dia left despite it being early and a big board outside advertising it. As it happened we ended up in an amazing Taqueria nearby where we received the warmest welcome and had a delicious meal.
