Went to the branch at Mills Spar Centre in Pietermaritzburg yesterday. Excellent service and very good value for money and delicious. We had the Darby and Joan Special and wow was there a lot of food. View all feedback.
What Chris Shannon Hutton doesn't like about Two Vikings Fish Chips:
Had a terrible piece of Kingklip, the chips tasted of old oil. Showed the manager a picture of the overcooked shriveled up fish, he apologised then gave me an unbelievable excuse, not interested. The Service is good, that's about it. Certainly won't be back there. View all feedback.
I visited the branch at Mills Spar Centre in Pietermaritzburg yesterday. The service was excellent, and it offered great value for money with delicious food. We ordered the Darby and Joan Special, and I was amazed at the generous portion size!
I was disappointed with my experiences at the Amanzimtoti branch. I've visited several times, and despite requesting crispy chips, they consistently arrive as a mushy mess. The batter is problematic as well; it should be light and crispy when I get home, but instead, it's soggy. I'm not sure if it's due to the way the food is wrapped, but if it were done properly, the quality of the fish would really stand out.
I have been craving prawns so much! Enjoying seafood at Two Vikings Fish and Chips with Thabani Msomie and three others. #nixmapha #novisitorsplease #straightface
I had a disappointing experience with the Kingklip; it was overcooked and shriveled. The chips also had a taste of old oil. I showed the manager a photo of the fish, and while he apologized, his excuses were hard to believe. The only positive was the good service, but unfortunately, that's not enough for me to return. I won't be going back.
The food was the greasiest I've ever encountered—hake, calamari, mushrooms, and onion rings. Additionally, the manager was quite unfriendly during my visit, which was three weeks ago.
