Great food and atmosphere. We ordered a main course knowing we would all have a desert. There was no doubt about the underpinning passion.
Nice friendly restaurant, nice food, nice ambiance! Chef Gian Lucca has passion in cooking and food, that you can see clearly! Attention to details!
The food was really lovely, but the best feature of this restaurant for me was an amazingly impressive wine list. I chose a Calabrian white at a modest price which could hold its own against much more expensive good French wines. Don 't be put off by the dated rustic decor because this place delivers on all fronts. The chef has an open view of the kitchen and is keen to ask for feedback. I had the best, most tender octopus ever, an excellent swordfish steak and a delightful Sicilian dessert. For Amantea the food prices are expensive but it was accomplished cooking....
We had read about the restaurant and my wife wanted to visit. Dropped in on the off chance and it was not busy but very welcoming. The food and wine were excellent. Perhaps a little pricey in comparison with the rest of the town.
We (family of 4) had dinner at Due Bicchieri following the high Tripadvisor rating, and this did meet our expectations. The ambience is very pleasant and peaceful especially the outdoor area. The fish seafood dishes were very good, very fresh. The service was very attentive, rapid and friendly also helped by the fact that the restaurant was not very busy at the time and day of the week (a Tuesday) it got busier later in the evening. The price was also reasonable. Overall a good experience and a place I would recommend.
