Posizione con vista su Amalfi, lontano dal caos personale gentile e disponibile buono il ristorante con piatti tradizionali

Siamo stati al Ristorante Glicine: un'esperienza indimenticabile... Cosa si può dire di un luogo così, con una vista incantevole su uno scenario unico come quello di Amalfi ? Di un fascino che si può percepire solo appena si entra in un Hotel pluridecorato come il Santa Caterina ? E di una cena preparata da uno chef stellato come Peppe Stanzione che riesce a farti ricordare i sapori e gli aromi di quando eri piccolo, seppur rivisitati in chiave moderna ? Per non parlare del servizio eccellente, dei camerieri, del sommelier e del Maitre che riescono a coccolarti senza essere invadenti. Ogni complimento risulterebbe banale, ma per me sicuramente è stata un esperienza fantastica e che ad occhi chiusi mi sento di consigliare e che spero di ripetere quanto prima.

We visited this hotel 3 times over the years. The journey from Sorento along the coast is absolutely spectacular. The hotel is located on the side of a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, about a quarter mile from the city of Amalfi. The view from the hotel gives the call to the Amalfi Coast. We stay in the small “Gieß” room/building, with private swimming pool, near the lemon grove. You can sit in your private pool and get past the people on the cruise liner by wishing they were you. The food is wonderful and the staff very pleasant. On my stage in my life I am about glamorous-chrome and downtown busy cities this hotel was my answer. There are a number of 5 star hotels in 100 miles from where I live that I have not visited more than once, but I have in the Santa Caterina 3 times and it is 5000 miles away on another continent.

Santa Caterina Amalfi is our favorite hotel. It is a place where we feel happy and welcome. This was our second visit, and it was even more pleasant than the first one. We like to arrive in autumn when Amalfi is not overcrowded and the weather is perfect to wonder in Santa Caterina's beautiful cliff gardens that are surprisingly colorful for the season. The hotel combines well-thought with the lush vegetation and is very tastefully decorated. Service is professional and feels really friendly, with the reception properly guessing our names, shuttle drivers setting times to our convenience and a wide-mile Buongiorno from gardeners and cleaning ladies.
