Great service, good food, nice atmosphere. We were wandering around Santa Fe looking for something that provided high quality but wouldn't lock us into two hours of eating. We were very happy with the food quality and choices. Focaccia was warm, fragrant and very nice with the oil and balsamic dip. Grilled artichokes were very good smoky from the wood oven. I couldn't believe how quickly they were gone. Meat in the h... View all feedback.
What Jay S doesn't like about Sal y Lena:
they have an english menu, but waiters do not speak much english so it gets lost in the translation? Appetizer and dessert were excellent, but the steak was not well made? View all feedback.
Fantastic food but music too loud to speak comfortably. Attentive but too slow service. Wide menu with many options eventhough it is a steak restaurant. Interesting wine menu. Suggestions such as “guacamole with chicharron” and “ lobster empanadas” are a good start. Salmon and steaks are great as main dishes.
This restaurant is supposedly a staek house, problem is they can not make a steak properly. Food came out a little too fast, makes one think it is made before hand, returened steak as it was not cooked properly, returned it even worse. Very expensive.
I have eaten here several times during my visit so far. This restaurant is conveniently accessible by the Hilton Santa Fe elevator to the adjoining mall. After my first visit I was consistently greeted by name and seated where the loud music that has been mentioned in prior reviews was not an issue. I believe that Christian was responsible for being sure that I was cared for so graciously. This is an amazing experience for me as an older solo female eating alone since I am accustomed in the US to so rudely often be offered seating in some horrible spot near the restroom. 5 of the 6 meals I have had to date have been exquisite. Even the bean soup is an elegant presentation.
This was indicated by a fellow worker and happened to be really good. At the center of many hotel, it's the perfect escape from hotel food. Need to have the fish wrapped in salt at oven. Andres will debone it at your table and you taste the fillets. Start with the empanadas, a great appetizer. Good beer and wine selection. Service is really good to the of you crying, please leave me alone. Great dinning place.
Muy buen servicio, se adaptan a las necesidades, conocen su carta, a mi parecer con un precio justo por la calidad de la comida, pero definitivamente el precio es alto.
