What Gajendra Karnik doesn't like about Alaia:
I think its a great place for business, but not so good for couples. The food is good nd service also worth it. We liked it, but there are plenty of better options in town View all feedback.
I only can say good things about Alaia, a fantastic Basque and Mediterranean restaurant in El Pedregal de San Angel. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful, the service top notch and the food great. To start we ordered appetizers to share, duck tacos in tamarind sauce, Serrano ham croquettes and pinchos with tuna, anchovies on tumaca bread. All of them were delicious (5* . As mains we had pescado en salsa verde with clams, white asparagus and gulas. Our friends ordered robalo a la sal. Both fish dishes were great (5* . As desserts, we had a mango lasagna with coconut ice-cream and a mamey creme brulée with a chocolate mousse. Again they were delicious. To drink we had Aperol Spritz and Verdejo white wine. We ended with nice cappuccinos. In summary, a memorable lunch to be repeated.
Very good food and service. Good taste Spanish food. Try alubias soup, Gettaria red snapper, Pan tomata, etc. Fish and meat, good soups and desserts.
Look no further if you appreciate elegance, style and contemporary cooking. The green rice and clams to start, followed by the most delicious short rib in red wine, made for an incredible early evening dinner. Great value for money.
One of the best restaurants in the southern area of Mexico City. Good food, great service, beautiful architecture.
El lugar es amplio y la decoración simple pero agradable. El menú variado y la calidad de los alimentos inigualables. Atención de primera.
