The food here is quite tasty, but the menu is limited, with mostly vegetarian options. The service was good, and the hot sauce was exceptional. We love exploring different cuisines, especially Mexican food, and we've noticed that the flavors differ significantly between the U.S. and Mexico. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the menu selection. View all feedback.

The food here used to be legendary. Today I visited and ordered the chicken chimi. The service and the food were both terrible. This will be the last time we bring our money. View all feedback.
Meal Type: Dinner Price per Person: $20–30 Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Atmosphere: 2/5 I recently had dinner at this restaurant and overall, it was a decent experience. The food was definitely the highlight, earning a solid 4 out of 5. Each dish I tried was flavorful and well-prepared, making it worth the price range of $20 to $30 per person. On the other hand, the service was somewhat lacking, coming in at a 3 out of 5. The staff was polite, but the service felt slow and a bit disorganized at times. Unfortunately, the atmosphere fell flat, rated at just 2 out of 5. The ambiance didn't match the quality of the food, with an uninviting decor and a noisy environment that detracted from the dining experience. Overall, while the food was excellent, the service and atmosphere could use some improvement.
This is the best Mexican restaurant in town, and the service is excellent as well. We dined in for dinner, and the cost per person was about $20 to $30.
For instance, after ordering the same dish three times in a week from other employees, she insisted that I hadn't ordered it and claimed they don’t put carnitas in chimichangas. Moreover, she charged me nearly $15 more than I had paid on previous visits. Whenever I order when other staff members are available, I have never faced this issue. She just seems unhappy, and I've learned to avoid dining there when she’s on shift. Overall, I'd rate the food a solid 5, the service a 3 due to that one employee, and the atmosphere a 4.
Probably the best place to get Mexican food around Alton. If you travel further out of alton there is quite a bit places better. I would have given it 4 stars but there is this one waitress in there that is so rude. If I call to place a to go order and she answers I just hang up and go somewhere else that's how rude and unprofessional she is. Also I don't like how I order the exact same thing every time and every time my total is different. Lol! Like that really needs to be fixed. Should be the same price every time especially if I'm ordering the same thing but the food is always good.
