Alton Market

The food here is fantastic! Since moving to the area, I've dined at Alton Market numerous times. I usually order the Philly or the three-piece catfish, and it has been incredible every time. I would compare it to Mini Corral, but I actually prefer Alton Market much more. The pricing is also a significant advantage!

The fried catfish is excellent, with well-seasoned breading. However, the Philly cheesesteak truly took center stage! The bun is incredibly soft, and the cheese is wonderfully melted. I'll be dreaming about that cheesesteak sandwich until I can get another one! The staff are also extremely polite and friendly!

I just tried food from Alton Market for the first time. My wife and I both ordered the Philly steak, while my son chose a double cheeseburger. We all shared some cheese fries as well. Everything was fantastic! I have no complaints at all. I only wish I hadn’t discovered this place so late; apparently, they’ve had their kitchen running for over a year now!

I'm writing this review to support one of my favorite restaurants. Mostly because someone left a 1 star review because the place smells like smoke. Are you kidding me!??? We should be doing all we can to support local establishments especially during covid. Seriously, some people make me incensed. I love this restaurant. Like everyone else, the Philly is my favorite, tho!

The place was empty and it was lunch time. I was in a rush an figured I would give it a chance. A dicision I regret. It took 25 minutes to make my order. They new I was in a rush and the cook took his sweet time bagging my lunch. Customer service is poor. I tried to be nice and talk to them. They wanted nothing to do with me. I made it clear I didn't want papers on my Philly but he kept asking if I didn't want onions. I had to tell him 3 times I wanted everything except peppers. When the cook was finally done he took his time bagging it. He thre my lunch on the counter and walked awY. Then bagged it and walked away again. He did that 4 times before he finally handed it to me. The food tasted bad as well. I regret going and will not go back.
