This was my third visit to Pulaski to fly fish Saloman and Stealkopf and we visited Tailwater every time for dinner. The food is always good, but it always seems to come for food. Take 22.5 hours for dinner. I will say that the staff is always very polite and friendly! View all feedback.
What LINDAM doesn't like about Tailwater Restaurant Bar:
Bar tender did not know how to make a Tom Collins (left out sour mix) it was quite bitter. The salad dressing on my Caesar salad was bland. I was not allowed to swap collard greens for Brussel sprouts. The garlic potatoes were good. The fried chicken had a tough unedible coating on it that I left behind. Overall a very expensive meal that I did not enjoy. Won't go back. The waitress was good. Oh yeah, $17 for 6 shrim... View all feedback.

The hours listed on your website bare no resemblance to the actual hours. We took a drive on Tuesday and then had a load of fun with the signs directing to the restaurant or the bar. Then following them, the only signs were for Lodges. A lot of them. I walked inside one and asked a housekeeper where the bar was and she showed me the hallway and to turn right. So I went back outside to get my wife and we walked and walked and finally found the Birch Bar. it wasn't open. The sign on the door showed it's not open on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday. It would have been nice if the young housekeeper knew the hours. Bottom Line: not everyone uses Facebook if that's where your hours of operation are. I don't and deleted it some years ago. So I would think that the management of this place would update YOUR web site. And also, put a sign up for the Birch Bar and/or restaurant at the doorway entrance instead of just Lodge! To say I was irritated and annoyed at all this is an understatement.
Beautiful ambiance and good service make this restaurant a good find. We started with cocktails, expertly made and reasonably priced. I ordered French onion soup and a lobster roll platter for a main, served with oodles of piping hot sweet potato fries $2.00 upcharge). I needed my husband to share the fries since the serving was so large. The lobster roll was good and it came with a small dish of pickled carrots and cucumber. Our waitress Gabby was very busy, but checked on us regularly to ensure we were happy. Great find in a rural part of Oswego County.
Great meal! We had the lobster roll, quesadillas, and the angus burger for lunch today. Everything was very good but the lobster roll was really delicious. Very nice upscale hunting lodge type atmosphere. Excellent service from our waitress Michelle! We finished it off with a piece of carrot cake that must be repeated. Great meal overall. This is one corner of upstate we have to come to more often!
