We’ve been coming in Altea for more than 10 years, and this the very best place to eat. Excellent kitchen service, hot spot very reasonable price. Don’t hesitate, go ! PS: try the Coquettes de pollo and the Solomillo de Galicia

Excellent food and service. The latest chef brings a great international perspective to his cuisine: innovative and delicious. Good value for the menu del dia given the high quality of the food. The location on Altea 's paseo, on the Mediterranean, is beautiful, with both outdoor and indoor patio areas which are dog-friendly. Photos are from a recent visit.

Great Restaurant with outstanding food. Special is the daily menu for only EUR 19.99! Highly recommended!

Absolutely one of the best food experiences. Definitely a must. Went for the Short Menu which is shared and choices are made by the chef. A taste surprise in every course. No point me talking about it, just go, do it and enjoy the food and amazing staff.

We went to La Maja for dinner. We were very satisfied last year and thought we would have a similar experience again. However, we were completely taken aback by the poor service we received. Despite having booked a table, it was pointless since the restaurant was completely empty when we arrived, which was the first red flag. The waiter there was unprofessional from the very beginning and seemed like he didn 't want to be at work. We waited a long time for the food and were extremely disappointed with it. The steak was raw. I had asked in advance if I could have it medium, but it was ******. So I asked if they could cook it more, and the waiter got angry and rudely said, 'It 's medium. ' After much discussion, he reluctantly took it back. When I got the same steak back, it was tougher than any gummy candy I 've ever had. We ended up not finishing the food and left the place dissatisfied. Paying 90 euros for a ****** steak and a tough lamb dish was definitely not worth it. La Maja should fire the summer temp workers who care more about fixing their hair than serving good food and providing good service. I never want to come back. Stay away!!
