The red carpet menu is very good and original. The seabass dish was the best! I loved how the staff and the chef were always smiling at everybody and just being naturaly kind and attentive. Great hospitality! The terrace area is extremely cozy and beautiful. I strongly recommend you book a table and don't miss out at this place during your visit to Altea. Lovely experience. What a terrible experience! The taste and smell of the meat was totally off! Returned the dish and then they said that it’s the characteristic of aged meat! Of 5 dishes only one was ok, do not understand how they can promote to be Michelin recommended with such poor quality food! We arrive at the restaurant after searching in several places and we see enough positive opinions. They sit us in a living room next to three other couples who drop us, they didn't reserve. They point us out and ask us for two soft drinks, one coming in and two main ones. Once we asked for everything that was downhill, first of all the drinks it took half an hour to get there, also they brought before the entrance (tartar of tuna quite scarce and without tiles with which to accompany, the bread that they put us as you can understand in half an hour of waiting we ate). As they leave the entrance they realize they still didn't put the drinks, so they bring it after the entrance. Once finished, another long wait to make a dry salmon with excess sauce to mask the product of bad quality, and a singlemillo accompanied by a smaller amount of salsa (says that here we were lucky, as one of the couples requested another singlemillo different from ours and wine accompanied by abundant salsa like our salmon). Once we finished and after being 1 hour and 20 minutes in the restaurant (not for drop, if not for going. like the food, the one that brings us the account is delayed and we apply to another waiter in the same way. This time there was a waiter, which seemed to be the maître of the place, to bring us the account and ask ourselves how our dinner was, to which we respectfully replied that it was good but that the service was a bit slow. After that, instead of apologising, the waiter answers us textually oted has not worked in the true hospitality? precisely my couple has been 1 year in edimburg After leaving such a comment, we had nothing left to pay and that we had a bad taste of mouth, not only for the food that is quite normal for the prices that are handled, but for the treatment received.
4 of us went for an early dinner and the food was amazing. Presentation and flavours were really excellent. I had a rib of beef that just fell off the bone. Highly recommended!!
Far away from the touristic crowd and after a couple of climbs trough the old town I found Rumors. Atmosphere was for me warm and welcoming. January, so dining inside. It all breathes another standard than what I experienced ‘down’ at the beach. Menu has great choices. Except for one starter : they are all non vegetarian. Start with bread with Aioli “bread a bit warm from the oven would have been a fit with the atmosphere of Rumors) and further Salmon with an Asian flavor soft and well prepared). Cheesecake with icecream on top of a lovely dinner. Staff has been attentive and present for me. Price and quality matches.

The restaurant is exceptional, both the local and its terrace, which is where we ate, and although it was hot they sought us a place in the shade to be more comfortable, overlooking the altea and the spectacular mountain range. the service is very good on the part of all, since it comes in that the owner receives you with great sympathy to all the waiters, in particular to us who touched us will, and his service was simply phenomenal. the most important, the food, all exceptional, of quality, very good and well presented, we will certainly come back. excellent price of quality.
