One of the last really home, main street restaurants I've ever been. I almost don't want to post anything about it so it's the hidden jewel that it is. Local, war vests and good food is what this place serves in spades. Nothing imagination on the menu, except good food, cooked directly. Many memories of the walls to keep you interested and talk about a floorless cup of coffee. Waiting staff could not be more friendly... View all feedback.
We'll eat there as long as they're open. Even though their hours have changed, the dinner menu has only improved. The Sea Breeze Salad was beautiful and the fish well made Corned Beef and garbage could be cut with a fork. Back to Homefront!!!!
What an amazing place! A true treasure trove of great artifacts a history buff's dream.... with good food. I come from PA to visit friends every year this is a mandatory stop while we're nearby.
Love this place. I’ve been coming sunday after work for breakfast. You get a lot of food for the price. Much, much better than the “diners” in Voorheesville. Everyone is nice and the food is great. Love the old atmosphere, and the appreciation for the veterans.
Very cool place. You feel like you step back in time waking through the door. The owner has a lot of military memorabilia throughout the café and restraunt dating back to WWII You can tell this owner is a true partriot. The staff is also very nice! They also serve ice cream and shakes in the summer.
This place is the epitome of Altamont. Cozy atmosphere and very sweet owners. The WWII theme is something you won't see anywhere else. Truly a one of a kind cafe. The food is great but sometimes the service can be a bit hit or miss. If you want to get a feel of what the people of Altamont are like, make sure to stop in here.
