Small outdated room but an amazing breakfast! The best thing about this hotel is the amazing buffet breakfast with everything you could ever want. Considering their prices, this place is really not great, not to say lousy. The rooms, specifically, the furniture are rundown and old. There was not even a couple of classes in the bathroom we could use for brushing our teeth. Let alone, a bathrobe, or a few simple slippers, we could use to go into the sauna. The hotel is centrally situated in walking distance from Alta town centre, with shopping centres, restaurants and swimming pool. Next to the hotel is also the Northern Lights cathedral a modern architectural gem. My room (no 207) was in the old part of the hotel and quite small and outdated but scrupulously clean. The view from the room was not very interesting. The check in and out process was seamless and hassle free. Ask for a room in the new part of the hotel if you decide to book a room at this hotel. Great location (spot on in the city centre, next to good shopping mall, next to swimming arena, next to the cathedral), nice rooms, great food, nice staff ample parking what is not to like?
The view is awesome, this was my second time in Scandic Alta
