This is a dog-friendly pub with friendly staff who were willing to go above and beyond. They even brought water bowls for our two dogs and made us all feel welcome. The home-cooked meals were delicious and provided good value for money. View all feedback.
I tried calling but didn't get a response, so I ended up eating at another place. The service wasn't very welcoming, but it was okay overall.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced. It is a lovely traditional pub that is worth checking out if you happen to be in the area.
This traditional bar is excellent with a friendly atmosphere and offers delicious pub food at a reasonable price. They serve a great pint of real ale as well.

We will always remember our stay at the Angel Inn as the true highlight of our Pennine Way walk. The food was amazing, the pub was lively, and the room was clean. The best part of our experience was the warm welcome we received from Joyce. Despite our wet and tired state, she made us feel right at home and took care of us throughout our stay. We ended up staying an extra night to wait out the storm. Thank you to everyone at the Angel Inn for running such a fantastic pub.
