Menu

The menu of Allgauer's from Alsip comprises about 255 different dishes and drinks. On average you pay about $11.8 for a dish / drink.

Allgauer's presents a stylish ambiance and attentive service, yet the culinary offerings evoke mixed reactions. While some diners rave about generous portions and well-crafted cocktails, others criticize the food's freshness and flavor, noting that certain dishes, such as the short ribs and salads, fell short of expectations. Breakfast options are decent but lack variety and beverage service. Despite these inconsistencies, the restaurant maintains a clean and inviting atmosphere, suggesting that with a few improvements, Allgauer's could truly shine as a dining destination in the area.

What SusanP dislikes about Allgauer's:
Upon arrival, I said I had a reservation. Was told they don't take reservations. We were still seated right away. One in our party ordered decaf coffee was told she had to go get it herself near the entrance at a self serve coffee bar. They used to have a full brunch buffet with a person making omelets as well as a carving station. Now, there were very few food choices and no mimosas or champagne could be ordered. No... The restaurant was closed, and I ended up sitting at the bar. If I wanted bar food, I would have picked a place where I know the food and service are excellent.

No baked goods for dessert either. Food they did have was just fair. Won't go back.

I use to frequent the place, being a customer at hotel, or not. Chicken tasted old, the don't sale shrimp nachos anymore. Drink wasn't strong, even though it was order top shelf.

Decided to go out for a quick impromptu dinner with a friend. This place to eat not sure the ambience convinced me enough to say restaurant was located inside the main entrance of the hotel. I can definitely see people coming for a quick drink at the bar though. We sat down and we’re given plastic cups of water maybe covid related . Looking over the menu it was really difficult matching the prices of the meals to the really laid back vibe. Not saying that’s necessarily bad, but when ordering a $27 meal and being served on a paper plate….uh no thanks. However, we both order food that wasn’t bad but maybe not exactly worth the price. Salmon green beans and a potato like pancake side. I ordered a mango meatloaf wasn’t bad but the mango was very subtle garlic mash potatoes green beans. The service was appreciated and the food wasn’t bad but a nice glass plate and a slightly cheaper meal would help.
