Lovely broth but…. ch... read more Chewy Chicken is a new one for me…. The restaurant is alcohol free however we had some very nice mocktails. I had sweet corn chicken soup. Lovely broth but…. chewy chicken… the spring rolls were good. Main course for me was nasi goreng with the same chewy chicken and a seriously overcooked egg. All in all no flavour to it at all. I even added salt which did not work. So bland. My wife had the Thai basil beef which turned up cold, had to be reheated. The flavour of that however was okay, albeit a little fatty. Finally the bill. I said I would pay cash. The waitress stood over me whilst I got the monies out of my wallet…. all very strange as I don’t think we looked the type to do ‘a runner’….. Also, there was no atmosphere in the restaurant at all. Whisked away to downtown Shanghai we were not…We have travelled all over the world and eaten in so many places. I paid cash so I could forget this one.
