Thi... read more The restaurant wasn't open despite allowing me to make a reservation and confirming it. If you're going to be closed, please remove the reservation options. This was meant to be my birthday dinner with family, and we ended up going to Reata instead. I love Spicewood, but I'm really frustrated that we made plans, were looking forward to them, and then discovered that you were closed.

The place w... read more We were staying in Fort Davis and decided to drive to Alpine for dinner. Made reservations online. We got to Spicewood. Not a living soul was there. The place was closed. No indication of that on the website, open table or even the hours on the front door!!!! We ended up having a fabulous dinner at Riata (which I would highly recommend! They saved the evening!
